Photo Shoot

For those of you that are interested in what BabyBam Collection will offer for our Fall/Winter 2008 premier I have attached these photos from our photo shoot. All the products are made from 70% Bamboo and 30% Organic Cotton. They are so soft you can compare them to cashmere. In addition to the hooded towel and onesie you see here, we will have a pant, a receiving blanket and a "bambini" (a small blankie for little ones to carry around, also known as a lovey). Let me tell you it is not easy to find a graphic designer and awesome photographer who also knows his marketing and has a great sense of humor, but alas, after much searching I found him! This is a shout out to Jeremy. Check out his website at http://www.woldcreative.com/

Why Bamboo?

As you know we are creating an eco-friendly "green" line for babies. Many of you may have at least heard of Organic Cotton and know why it is superb to regular cotton. However, many have no idea as to how Bamboo plays an important role in the organic apparel market.

Bamboo is perfect next to babies delicate skin because it is naturally hypo-allergenic, and anti-bacterial, preventing odor, allergies and skin irritations. In addtion, it is thermal regualting, which is ideal while babies learn to regulate their own temperatures. Bamboo also wicks away moisture and had double the absorbancy of cotton.
If this isn't enough, Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet today because it is a grass that grows like a weed. It can grow up to three feet in one day! This means Bamboo is the alternative to wide spread clear cutting of forests, and the most sustainable textile material available in the market today! It doesn't need help from pesticides or insecticides and usually grows on rain water alone.
And as far as how it looks.....Bamboo looks like expensive Pima or Egyptian Cotton and drapes like silk. It has less shrinkage than cotton and does not pill. It has been described as feeling like pure cashmere!
With all these eco friendly attributes Bamboo is sure to become the next cotton!!
